Afro Kinky Textures

We recommend all water based products to maintain moisture.

One of our favorite products to use is LottaBody Products (sold in stores) and Argan Oil.

Kinky Wigs can be colored. However, we do not recommend bleaching products on kinky textures unless you need a blonde undertone to achieve your desired color.

If you use bleaching on your wig it is VERY important to keep it moisturized. If you would like to achieve a blonde or ombre look on kinky hair, please use hair dye.

Please remember, straightening kinky hair is like straightening your own hair in its natural state!

TREAT KINKY HAIR AS THOUGH IT WAS YOUR OWN HAIR IN ITS NATURAL STATE

If you are going to get into pool water treated with chlorine while wearing your kinky wig, please make sure you moisturize your wig with conditioner before getting into the water to avoid the chlorine drying out the hair. If you do not use conditioner before you enter water, please follow the hair rejuvenation method.

ALL kinky hair textures can be straightened. The more the kinky loose and deep curl are straightened. If you are going to straighten kinky curly loose or deep curl hair, be prepared to take your time, combing from the ends up, adding heat protectant product (Ex. Biosilk) before flat ironing.

Hair Rejuvenation Method:

*works for all hair textures*

1/2 cup Fabric Softener

5 cups water

In large pot, bring water and fabric softener to a boil. Turn the burner off, put the wig into the pot and let it soak for 20 minutes or until water becomes cool to the touch. Remove wig from water and comb from ends up to release any tangles. After combing thoroughly, wash twice with sulfate-free shampoo, once with moisturizing shampoo.

After shampooing, saturate the wig in conditioner. Allow the conditioner to set for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with cold water until all conditioner is gone.

PLEASE LET ALL WIGS AIR DRY

IF YOU MUST USE A BLOW DRYER, PLEASE USE HEAT PROTECTANT OR USE COLD SETTING.
